I'm not sure how you don't understand. Gear Four doesn't give Luffy more Haki, it burns his Haki up for more up front. And then he shrivels.

Enma blew Zoro's own Haki through his arm in excess. Then it started to shrivel up...

Instant durability boost while Enma without Mastery is kinda of a nerf because you have to get balance right otherwise you use too little force or Enma sucks all your ryou meanwhile Sanji is tanking YC1 attacks and getting thrown through buildings without a scratch just by putting on the suit.

Is it stronger than what it replaces? Shusui was a black sword so no.

Could Zoro become as strong if Enma didn't exist? Yes.

If he loses Enma does he become weaker? No.
