Speculations Esperia's actual downfall

#1
With the the recent chapter, I feel confident in saying that the entire peaceful and fun appearances in Esperia were always merely on surface.

Let me start with this.

I believe Leuven and Candelle always knew about the drug trafficking which I assume also involved the King. The instruments were never the tribute, Esperia was a drug port for the WG ended by Candelle and Leuven during their younger days.

Of course the WG responded. We see this here.

I say WG and CD sought payment since they put a stop the drugs and I believe the payment...
Was Candelle.
Candelle wasn't "ill" she was pregnant and Shuri isn't Leuven's but shares the same fate as Bonney.

The entire influx of good news was no miracle but dealings with the WG. A tradeoff for peace.

And it ended with the death of Candelle. They now decided to claim what is theirs.
Deal is off.

I think the overall point is:
Leuven saving Brook and ending the drug trafficking fucked the entire kingdom and created a downspiral.

I think Candelle could still be double agent playing on both side.

This to me seems like the most popular sort of idea being put out. I'm certain on X (formerly Twitter) that people are suggesting it. It's a safe theory in the sense that many already agree.

I'm not a big fan of the most popular ideas. They tend to be conspiratorially based.

Conspiratorial thinking is a psychological predisposition to interpret complex, stressful, or random events as the intentional, coordinated actions of secret, malevolent groups. Rather than accepting official explanations or chance occurrences, this mindset views the world as being manipulated by hidden powers.

Occam’s Razor means preferring the interpretation that makes the fewest assumptions. When a text offers multiple plausible meanings, you favor the straightforward, literal reading over highly complex or convoluted theories, unless the evidence demands otherwise.
