Fews can do the magic of DBZ where we had SSJ2 Teen Gohan clashing with More-than-Perfect Cell where he needed help from Vegeta and others distracting Cell and his Dad giving him emotional help.
It is ridiculous having an evenly clash like Kaido and Luffy had, where Kaido was slowly overcoming Luffy and out of nowhere Luffy neggs Kaido showing to be far more powerful.
Compare it to KKG and Doflamingo Awakening clash. In anime was ridiculous but in manga it didn't happened. Luffy straight foward overcame Doflamingo showing he is by far more powerful.
