Everyone in Blackbeard’s crew knows about Imu and Xebec.
Teach inherited Xebec’s will, and that’s why the crew follows him, Kuzan included.
But Kuzan isn’t like the others. While they believe Teach will one day conquer the world , Kuzan still follows his own sense of justice.
At some point, Teach shared everything about Imu with him, just as he did with the rest of his inner circle.
He recognizes Teach’s potential to overturn the current system.
Still, Kuzan has no interest in helping Teach become king. He’s only biding his time, waiting for the right moment to turn against him, once his own goals are within reach.
At heart, Kuzan is still a Marine, following his own sense of justice.
He doesn’t share Xebec’s will and he knows this alliance is fragile and dangerous, but he believes this is the best way to fight against Imu and his corrupt system.
