General & Others Everything wrong with Wano

#1
Someone commented this in the ch.1052 thread and I was wondering how much can be said to counter these points.

The more I think about it, the more it looks like Oda completely mishandled Wano.I would also add that he completely forgot about Izo being Kiku's brother and making her look so carefree after he died. How hard would it be to have her there with Marco?

Usopp was also extremely unimportant.Actually 0 development ever since he awakened CoO and saved everyone in Dressrosa.

Comment what didn't make sense for you in Wano, or where Wano went wrong, or you can argue against the imgur/other users' points.

The thing about Onigashima going by another name is something I meant to point out in another thread the other day, what the hell is that about?? Seems like a minor detail in the grand scheme of that list, but why include it as a throwaway comment and never reveal the actual name, if only just for fun??

You want Kiku to cry after 1052 chapters of one piece? Is that important? Do you want her to cry for more than 7 days? How many years has she lived without Izo?

Zoro getting revenge for Yasuie is more important than Hiyori, Momo and Scabbards?
Queen vs WhosWho? Zoro wants to Kill Sanji too so should he? Thats irrelevant.
Numbers will surely be talked about in future so this is just stupid jumping in the gun.
Opening the borders of Wano was postponed in 1052. So this is stupid.
Yamato is called the son of Kaido and Yamato acts like a man and that is the reason pal what a stupid point.
Luffys mother hasn't been shown so why is Yamato's mother important? Another stupid point.
Zunesha went away because the border wasn't ready to be opened oh my god does this man even read the chapter?
Kanjuro's fire accomplished nothing? This man serious is blind or skipped the chapter.
Victory cry? Why should he give a victory cry when he has been sent to hell?
Most of the points he has made is just stupid and has no point for the story. He also is jumping the gun because all his doubts can easily be shown in the next fee chapters. If we can know about Kozaburo and Zoro's interaction in Wano, Oden writing Skypiea's roger's message in Wano, know the Sun GOD in Wano, we can easily do that in the future. This is not fault in Wano, just stupid take on things that have or yet to happen. Zoro and grim reaper can be done in a flashback and his heritage shit too. So this is just jumping the gun early so that he'll take all the Ls later.

Every Arc has Great Moments & Bad Moments
Wano is too long so it has biggest number of Bad Moments but also has biggest number of Great Moments
So relativity wise, it's not different than most other Arcs (Except 1 or 2 Arcs which each person considers his Favorites)
Which is also why Fandom is divided between people who call it Best Arc & those who call it Worst Arc

For me personally, i consider everything we experienced in Wano to be Three Arcs
Act 1 & 2 are First Arc
Start of Act 3 till Chapter 1010 is Second Arc
Rest is Third Arc

Which really helped me enjoy it
But if you look at it as a single part, then the length will tire you
And since almost all Arcs are barely 60 Chapters (Aside from this Yonko Saga)
No one can find an Arc with more Negatives than Wano, and hence they start to believe Wano is Worst Arc
Even though they are comparing mostly 50 Chapters to 160 Chapters which isn't fair

And tbh reading those Points he mentioned, half of them are just wishful thoughts, some are fan-made sub-plots & most are clearly teased for Future Arcs, not necessarily for this stretch of Volumes, and some will most probably be revealed Next 5 Chapters, such as Poneglyphs

Only thing i'm not satisfied with is Kaidou's Ending, aside from that, everything else can be revealed in Future Arcs (Such as Wano Lore)

Dumb loda asslicker. You must have discovered op in the last 5 years. Some of us have read this shit for 15 years, and we can see the decline in odas writing.

Oda creates expectations, we buy in them like f.eks. zoro saying he is going to roundup the samurai, what does that line even mean now. 100s of things like that and plotlines were droped ADMITED by Oda in interview he rushed and cut things out. And people say it's a good arc, wow IQ is really dropping in OP fandom such a shame.

Lol some of these are nitpicky.

Queen versus Who's Who was Oda subverting audience expectations, with X Drake getting outed it was dead and gone.
Why Kaido & Beast Pirates refer to Yamato as he is because Yamato is going by the identity of Oden. It's not that deep.
Oni Princess / Yamato's mother was never a plot line. She's referred to a princess because she's Kaido's daughter.
Who's Who's importance wasn't a lingering plot thread. He literally gives his exposition and is defeated with CP0 suspecting he wouldn't survive against Jinbe regardless.
Shadow at the end of 1004... Whoever made this post needs info to be hand fed to them if they really don't think it was Hiyori.
The Orochi complaint is really silly. After he came back the first time, anyone familiar with the popular story knows how it works.
It's obvious X Drake didn't blow his cover to free Law? He freed Law to cause chaos / weaken the Beast Pirates and was caught, it wasn't him sacrificing his mission but a calculated mistake.

The lack of ZKK

Kaido flashback and a few other things done dirty like Zoro and the Grim Reaper plot

Only two Scabbards died

Useless characters and subplots and much more
the lack of ZKK is wrong? what was wrong was your expectations :D that's all to it. you should have listen to reason :D
more you people want you own piece but sadly for you Oda is the one who writes OP and not you.

Lmao come on.Talked about for what? They were absolutely irrelevant fodders the entire arc and didn't serve any purpose. Why would they ever come back?
Zunesha went away because the border wasn't ready to be opened oh my god does this man even read the chapter?
Zunisha came, said oh Joy Boy is back and left.Which was absolutely unnecessary and weird.

Why wouldn't they? Vegapank and SSG can have a role in gigantification. Zunesha came to open the borders, since Momo decided its not the time so he went back. Its as easy to understand unless you lack education.

Wano, like WCI, seems utterly incoherent.

I think Oda has written himself into a corner and is struggling to live up to the expectations he's created.
Probably too many characters for him to handle at this point of his life (In Marineford he handled the same amount really well).
Makes me wonder how the final war will be handled.
Even though I liked Izo and Asura dying, I found it kinda weird that we learned about it after a "timeskip".It's as if the editors forced him to kill someone off.

Bro shut up with the education bullshit for fucks sake.

Okay, we had a 4 year long arc to learn anything about the Numbers, and all they did was get humiliated without the slightest info dropped on them. It's just not good. You can't always reserve stuff for later, since it takes away from the present tension.By the end of the arc no one gave a fuck whenever a Number appeared, simply because their hype was already dead.

As for Zunisha, her role was just inexplicable. Why did she even arrive to Wano, plot wise? What did it do for the plot? Hype the next chapter and then disappear?

Nice list.

However Luffy's connection to Ryuma not being built before 1052 should have been added to that list. Likely Oda's weakest plot twist ever. :kriwhat:

Sanji lacking from roof piece is the only thing wrong
Luffy and Zoro didn't exactly need him to cheerlead them on the rooftop, though. :milaugh:

Wano is the biggest "What if?" arc in the series and that is a damn shame. :josad:
