Giants
Fishman
Sky people
Tontta's
Minks
There are more but I'd say these 5 are the most prevalent in the story with (Buccanners, Lunarians, 3 eyed) on the verge of extinction
And the long limb people just being extra jointed humans
What if the 5 main races at some point long before joy boy where actually human and they evolved
Giants- currently many factions had been working on Gigantification to artificially make Giants, is it possible someone long ago did this and create an entire nation of Giants, or the original Nika used his power to turn them into Giants?
Fishmen- Vegapunk says the world will flood, and the fact old wano is deep underwater tells us it has flooded at least once before, but what if it flooded before that and a group of humans of that type after hundreds maybe thousands of years evolved to live easier in the water world they found themselves in they grew fish like features
Skypeople- What if long ago it was normal for Lunarians to get freaaaky with humans and it gave birth to the people of the sky, they heard the world was flooding and flew to the clouds to avoid it, never knowing the Lunarians they're mothers and fathers once mingled with had been wiped out
Tontta's- maybe in the past greenbit had low oxygen levels causing them not to grow as big, much like irl the reason animals where so massive in ancient times was because of the extremely high oxygen levels compared to today, it's the same reason fish in an ocean can get as big as a car depending on the species while fish in captivity would never get any bigger than a toddler unless you have an extra big tank
Minks- at some point Zunesha committed a crime, and was forced to walk but it was never said where the Minks came from or how they wound up on his back, could it be humans that over the years gained animal like qualities, or is it animals that gained human likes qualities? Either way at some point they wound up on his back and evolved into what we see today
TLDR: most of the other races we see are evolved versions of humans
