Character Discussion Explain Luffy to me

But seriously explain Luffy to me
I never liked Sanji, He has a good character but has too many negative points.
I find Zoro boring and only good thing about him is his fans

In M3, Luffy is the only character I care about but since wano my likeness towards Luffy has been decreasing,
And since the end of Wano, Oda has been mistreating Luffy. Many wouldn't agree with this statement but after chapter 1143 Luffy seems less complex character than Sanji and has less cool moments than Zoro.
How is this possible that Luffy is unable to compete with two sidekicks in two important traits of main character.
Of course some people will deny it but look at fanbase and not just worstgen but every other social media.
Despite one piece being about Luffy, fanbase is more obsessed with Zoro and Sanji. Every discussion always involves Zoro ans Sanji.

Luffy is Main character but what else,
Why Luffy seems so empty as a character?
Luffy has secret dream but Oda ruined it by giving same dream to Roger so it is not unique
Concept of Nika is good but Nika is from past and has some purpose but thats not about Luffy.
Also making Bonney Nika means it is not unique to Luffy.
I want Oda to explain Luffy to me. Not Nika, Joyboy 2.0 or Roger 2.0.
Why does Luffy wants to become pirate king?
Why secret dream is important to him?
His family his Motive his past and his character.
If Oda wants One Piece to become more than just a battle and fight story, he needs to give him more character.
Story of One piece will always seem empty if main character is empty.

And FUCK NIKA for ruining Luffy

Word Fuck Who’s Who and Nika.
Post automatically merged:

Good character until retcon god Nika came into play. Now we have to focus on the small panel time Oda is giving Zoro and Sanji and pray Luffy doesn't use G5.
Trueeeee
Post automatically merged:

That lacks context and Sandman is retarded
Ryuma and Romeo were supposed to be two main characters
Romeo is Sanji now
And Ryuma is Zoro
You are basically saying Zoro is Sanji's sidekick

True he is.

What I find most interesting in Luffy’s current journey is figuring out how he’ll come to terms with the fact that he is Nika.
We’ve had a protagonist who, throughout the entire manga, has consistently rejected the easy, preordained paths. Two of the most iconic moments in the story are when he smashes the eternal pose to Alabasta that Robin gave him, and when he stops Usopp from asking Rayleigh too much.
But lately, more and more often, we’re seeing major characters who were seemingly waiting for him, ancient prophecies surrounding him, entire nations cheering for him as the reincarnation of a god…
Now, I’m not saying everything was handed to Luffy, far from it. All of his alliances and bonds were built through his own character and charisma.
But fate does exist in One Piece, and when it comes to Luffy, it’s getting louder and louder.

Personally, this doesn’t bother me. Oda has always played with fate, even early on. Unlike, say, Kishimoto, he gives me the impression that he’s fully aware of what he’s doing.

I think that eventually, Luffy will have to confront his destiny.
That’s why I wouldn’t like an ending where he just beats Imu, who’s been waiting in a room for 800 years, and then everyone lives happily ever after.

The character who constantly talks about fate, who believes he’s the chosen one, and who’s actively competing with Luffy for the One Piece and everything it stands for, is Blackbeard.

We’ll know if Luffy is truly a well-written character when that clash with Teach happens at the end.
Because if the story ends in the most predictable way, and Luffy ends up exactly where Roger, Oden, Shanks, and Joyboy all expected him to end up… then yes, that would be disappointing.
But if he finishes his journey not as Joyboy, not as Nika, but as a PIRATE on his own terms, by clashing with the other great pirate of this era in a way that goes beyond everyone’s expectations…
That would be the perfect.

That’s what matters to me when it comes to Luffy as a character.
Whether you like him or not is a matter of personal taste. I’m not crazy about him myself, but that’s subjective.

you feel he is empty because Oda made him to be an ideal character and not a realistic one. So Luffy character almost never change and his interactions with others characters are almost always the same. And the fact that OP is too long these interactions are always repeating. So you get a feeling he is empty

That was both a genius and evil move by trashing talking our favorite but also complimenting us so we don't know if we get mad at you for finding Zoro boring or happy that you like us.

In M3, Luffy is the only character I care about but since wano my likeness towards Luffy has been decreasing,
To me it was since the ending of the fight with Katakuri I started to dislike him.

Luffy has secret dream but Oda ruined it by giving same dream to Roger so it is not unique
Disagree. This is you showing how you didn't understood one of the unique concepts of One Piece that Oda introduced. Inherited Will. Luffy's inherited the same will of Roger. Just like Zoro with Kuina, Sanji with Zeff etc.

Concept of Nika is good but Nika is from past and has some purpose but thats not about Luffy.
Concept of Nika is a mess. Nothing to explain here or defend towards Nika.

Why does Luffy wants to become pirate king?
This is very messed up since Oda during the series had Luffy saying that Pirate King is the most free person that's why he wants to become one. Suddenly he thinks he needs to defeat Admirals and Yonkos (while Roger didn't). Suddenly he says that he was always free. Suddenly he gets a new gear that is his most free form. So he isn't truly free unless he is at G5...

If Oda wants One Piece to become more than just a battle and fight story, he needs to give him more character.
Story of One piece will always seem empty if main character is empty.
Maybe Oda just wants silly fights to laugh off from now on... Idk...

And FUCK NIKA for ruining Luffy
Thank you!
