Speculations Fate/Purpose of the Cross Guild?

I believe Cross Guild may be an excuse for Oda to reuse old characters and congregate them into one place. It would be an opportunity to flesh out some characters who've had their backgrounds teased, but not fully developed. As a Guild, they can accept or deny certain jobs, unlike a typical Emperor crew where a subordinate must carry out their orders. It's also a way for Oda to provide Marines with Bounties, and an extra means to hype that organization up as we ramp up for the final saga. The Marines may very well be the ones Cross Guild conflicts with the most, considering their main operation is placing bounties on Marines, and Crocodile, the founder, convinced Mihawk to join him using his antagonistic history with the Marines.

imo, their purpose is to balancing against WG power house with their new advance technology, since the yonko power house is inbalance now because the dead of two previous yonko.

Because the Marines will still be there in some capacity. His recent experience would ensure Mihawk of the benefit of belonging to an organization.
I like this. This could also relate to him witnessing loss of a Rival because of an attachment in Shanks and almost dismissing Zoro because of his attachment to Luffy. And that ties in with what happened to him during MF (Attachment stopped his attack on WB and allies and friends stopped him from going after Luffy).

In short his character could develop to be welcoming of allies and friends.

Nothing . It’s just filler fanservice for useless characters in the story so that they could seem important.

it’s the same as as to why Buggy became a warlord and did literally nothing.

Other than being beloved characters together for some fun interactions, the big goal is no doubt aiding Luffy and co during the final clash with the WG. Common enemy and all. There’ll prob be interesting stuff in between cause the players are interesting.

Ancient Weapon shenanigans and creating random chaos.

They don't have enough competent crewmembers to be a challenge to the Strawhats since Zoro himself will 1vs1 and defeat their strongest member.

Most likely will not be any serious threat to strawhats
Hope that more famous pirates joing CG,also for the love of god Oda better not make Buggy PK....
Buggy has fallen upwards from a second rate East Blue pirate to:
  • Impel Down breakout mastermind
  • Shichibukai
  • Yonkou
There's only one place to go up from Yonkou.

All of those cope threads and arguments for nothing, now it's filler and fanservice.
They are more important to the story than the Cucksmoke and the number 4. :josad:

I want to see those brokers from punk hazards
They would be solid for Cross Guild
Also those impel down level 6 prisoners and other powerful new world warriors as well

In a bigger scale yes i do agree. But i still don't see or feel that Mihawk has the same goal. Why do you think that it is the case? Is it the dialogue between them on the den den mushi hinting at Mihawk's past? or something else. Because other than that i don't see any hint of him wanting to be a Player in whatever is coming.

You think Mihawk will keep being in Cross Guild after the WG is no more? interesting take.
It’s because of Mihawks dialogue; he just wants to live peacefully. Which that can’t happen with the WG giving him a huge bounty and sending marines after him.
