Edit:

I would say Heat Guy J is my fave on that list. It has amazing soundtrack and a great story and it actually makes me sad that only a handful of people even know about it. It's old though, so some might not like the Animation quality.

Burst angel opening "loosey" just slaps soo hard.

Oh yeah Garo is pretty good.

Maybe World's End Harem, does that count?
For it's genre, the manga has been quite popular at some months, but the anime was quite judged by the anime community lol.

Some of my pals know how much I love World's End Harem, but everyone else thinks it's meh.

I like slice-of-life stuff because I'm an easily stressed sort. I guess most of those aren't mainstream, except Kaguya sama, Bocchi and SpyxFamily.

My less popular picks (AFAIK) are: Acchi Kocchi, Kill Me Baby, Yuyushiki, My Senpai Is Annoying, Hidamari Sketch, When Will Ayumu Make His Move?, Asobi Adobase and Wasteful Days of High School Girls.

I have no idea how to even describe that one. It's one of the funniest, most absurd anime out there.
