I agree. It felt good to me. Villains were trash but the theme with regards to the series was an important one. It was the one-piece arc which I prefer... like pre-time skip.

How is Hody Jones have "actual plot lines central to story" anyway?

Iirc all he did is coup d'etat attempt, yet failed. Similar to what Doffy did to Dressrosa, except Doffy was already the King there by the time Straw Hats reached there while Hody was still trying and failed.

Hody is villain to Shirahoshi, a side character while Doffy is villain to Law, which is more important than Shirahoshi, and Dressrosa citizens which are as irrelevant as Shirahoshi.

I never said Hody Jones was central to the story. The only plot lines I said was central to the story was the ones I listed in my initial post. I agree Hody Jones was nonsense, he should have been defeated as soon as Luffy kicked him when he came out of Shirahoshi shark. Idk why Oda tried to force Hody down out throats. But having said that, I still prefer Hody Jones over Kaido LMFAO!

Dang at least we agree Momo and Kinemon are the worst lol

Kinemon is very funny, I don't like Momo much, I found that concept about his perviness cringy. Kinemon on the other flip of the coin I think is an interesting character and his Samurai personality is very Japanese styled so very original, I love that.

I had a hard time enjoying this arc. Some of the points you made are good but overall I felt nothing while reading this arc. Straw Hats come, save and go.

Nothing too crazy. You know I hate the entire post-time skip as a whole so it's hard for me to even pick "this actually acceptable one".

I'm a little confused. Aren't you always saying that Oda giving us more and more information and opening new plotlines that don't get resolved quickly every arc is bad storytelling? Poseidon, Joy Boy etc. are basically the epitome of that.

Not saying that you're wrong (although I have a different opinion), but this statement doesn't work well with all the criticisms you've given in the past weeks and months.

Arc was completely filler, I literally stopped reading the manga during the arc smh.... Reading it all later didn’t change my view
