Oda needs to take pointers on how to handle fights from Kishimoto because Naruto has One Piece beat in every action and fight scene.

I loved the Five Kage Summit arc! because it had great dialogue among the Kages. Sasuke causing havoc was like icing on the cake. But you're right Sasuke was getting saved too many times in such a short time.

You mean how despite all the kage with their equally broken abilities, Sasuke in the end still manage to accomplish his mission by killing Danzo (you know the guy with the reality wrapping ability Izanagi) and end up with his brothers eyes to unlock EM sharingan making him more powerful?

Lol sigh.... Sasuke awakened his mangekyou sharingan after his battle with Itachi. The amatersu was not an ass pull. Just stop it lol

I think Sasuke's one of the best written characters until you get his meeting with Itachi and later the Edo Hokages. Everything he does is pretty realistic and in line with who he is established as, as a person.

But these aren't bullshit powerups. Itachi used Amaterasu around chapter 150~ and the Gokage arc starts around 450~ and Sasuke showed the mangkeyou sharingan 30~ chapters before this arc began.

Susano'o was established in 392, 60 chapters before Sasuke used its most basal variation.

Sasuke was getting roughed up by everyone and would've died to the Raikage if not for Gaara.
Barely survived against Mei who wasn't going all out.
Needed Zetsu to give him chakra.
Needed Obito to save him against Oonoki.
Needed Karin to heal him.

So it's not like Sasuke's saves don't have explanations—Zetsu spores are established at the start of the arc afterall. It's not satisfyingly but each save wasn't bullshit. Kishi made sure everything going into this had support of some kind.

I like a lot of parts in it. The debate between the Kages is cool and seeing how each Kage stacks up to a maturing Sasuke was interesting. But I felt like Kishi was cutting forward a lot of Sasuke's development to rush his sharingan prowess and push him towards the EMS. It feels a little fast all around.
