This is something I've thought about for 8 years now since I started this series. What if there was actual in world explanations to ALL the Cartoon logic in one piece?
Of course after a while I grew out of asking the question seriously when I realised Oda himself makes fun of this sort of question. For example with the question of how Zoro speaks with a sword in his mouth.
But I'm bored and I'd like to enlist everyone's help to try and find as many such Cartoon logic situations and try and give any kind of in world explanation to it. For example Zoro speaks using his heart could literally be a Brook situation where his soul is projecting a voice that people can hear without the need for an actual voice box same as Brook.
I'll start off. Why do some Devil fruits automatically affect clothing and others do not? Like how come Luffy's clothes don't stretch with him but Ace's clothes turn to fire with him?
Simple. Some devil fruits are "semi-awakened" automatically. Logias have some awakened properties from the get go such as affecting clothing automatically. It's definitely not because Oda just doesn't want his Logias to be naked the moment they use their powers. It's just that Logias are "semi-awakened" and even the paramecia or Zoan fruits that have such things like Ms Doublefinger are also "semi-awakened" from jump. I mean it's not like Oda didn't want to draw Doublefinger's breasts just pierce through her Bra, she's just "semi-awakened" automatically and limited to her clothes.
If you can find this sort of loophole for any more cartoon logic in the series then please share.
