Break Week Fkn YouTubers Steal Our Ideas

#5
depends on what they take really; most of my comments or ideas are short things that are freely given for fun. It's the same with most people, if you planned on getting paid you should have done the video yourself, then you might have a leg to stand on with the complaint.

I've seen some youtubers however (cough tekking) regurgitate 2000 word essays and give the bare minimum of thoughts on them without even crediting the user. That seems pretty scummy.

Unfortunately, no. In any normal regulated setting people like tekking would have lawsuits filed against them. The only difference between YouTube and the real world is that YouTube is still largely unregulated and there are grey areas. It's why degenerates try to profit from it. What you suggested about making a video myself is the same thing as saying someone who steals content from NASA shouldn't feel bad about exploiting NASA because they should have tried to profit from it themselves.

The IDEA is that intellectual properties aren't to be exploited, and that not everyone is attempting to monopolize ideas. On forums, this is a space intended for the shared ideas to be used among a group who isn't trying to profit from those ideas. Worstgen doesn't have any regulations about that, and people who attempt to perform DATA MINING here are actually performing a cyber crime.

Hi Worstgen,

Do you guys realize that YouTubers who create videos perform plagiarism and fabrication by reproducing ideas they see on sites like Worstgen and claim them as their own?

It's YOUR intellectual properties that they're stealing you know
I don’t think there’s anything we can do about it besides post proof on platforms like Twitter or Reddit that’d get people’s attention.

They have the credits to at least making content and sharing these to the greatest number. Why not creating your own Youtube channel?
They don't know how to cite or reference properly. It's illegal not to do it properly in many places.

Me making my own channel is beside the point. I'm not even attempting to profit from these ideas. It's supposed to be shared for free.

The bigger picture here is artistic integrity. Our ideas are being stolen and I'm just pointing it out. It's obvious that it's done all the time. I just want us to reflect on that a bit. I'm not saying we need to take action. I'm just suggesting we should reflect on it.

Illegal? For theories on One Piece? If I remember correctly, Oda didn't give us permission before opening this forum.
Stealing the intellectual properties of anyone, anywhere, is a problem. By posting here, you are submitting your intellectual properties and they belong to the site and it's members. However, someone who is coming here specifically to try to make a profit by stealing your ideas is a bum and I don't respect that they do that.

This is not something new unfortunately and is been happening for years now, and is one of the reason many, including myself, have stopped creating theories

Can you give some examples of stolen intellectual properties from here?

You’re stealing my time by not revealing who you really are

You’re like Obito :parkcry:
