Since when did you start OP?
As a kid with the 4Kids dub, but when that ended I mostly drifted from the series until late 2014/early 2015.
Why did you decide to watch/read it?
Some guy online kept pestering me to give it a shot. Really, really hated the art style compared to Naruto. So I put it off for awhile.
Why is it still among your favourite mangas?
Because most series are deeply flawed and I'm not gonna pretend I don't find a good chunk of OP to be great.

I'd 100% want to be some Cipher Pol Agent. My luck is, I'd be with that fruitcake from kung fu island.

Since when did you start OP?
Since December 2017.
Why did you decide to watch/read it?
I binged Pirates of the Caribbean and decided to give OP a chance because i thought it would be similar to POTC.
Why is it still among your favourite mangas?
I havenโ€™t read many manga and despite its flaws, OP entertained me a lot.

Idk. Navy or Warlords.

- Started reading in 2010.

- Bored cus I was caught up to the manga of both Naruto/Bleach at the time and had nothing else to do.

Plus there was this one matchup online titled gear second Luffy vs 4 tail Naruto vs Bankai Ichigo or something. I didn't know who the fuck " Luffy " was so I decided to give One piece a go.

- Sadly, it's no longer in one of my favourite manga list.

- Probably Civilian.

1- Started watching it back in 2007.
2- A group of friends talked about it constantly and I was feeling a bit left out. Added to that I watched a random Baratie episode of Sanji fighting Gin and it caught my attention. Decided to start it.
3- I'm VERY invested in the story at this point. Despite the fact that the writing sucks ass, I still care enough about these characters that I wish to see them fulfilling their dreams.
4- Revo Army. Because fuck the Nobility. Robespierre didn't cut enough heads off.

-2003
-my best friend introduced me to it, was sold on baratie. still collect the volume in my language(5 volumes behind)
-still the pretty top among aot(it ended in chapter 131 right? eren wins right!) berserk, chainsawman, and vagabond .If this finish in the same tier as breaking bad it will be my no1 for sure. Tower of god is also kinda enjoyable in the same tier with one piece but it has more weaknesses ( like character design).
-ill be vegapunk's underling / ssg guy

started with anime in 2006/7 got into manga in 2007, good old days when finding good One Piece subbed anime was a pain, the only people who did it great were 1-2 months behind :josad:.

Anyway, the anime was pretty good, got to the fights with CP9 wanted to see what happened and started reading the manga, dropped it for like a 2years and picked it up again in 2009 after binging on the anime.

Damn cant believe I have invested so much of my time and money into this now that I'm thinking about it.

I started the anime in 2011. And was an anime-only until 2020 when I finally decided to catch up and go from following the anime weekly to the manga weekly.

All my middle-school friends were watching it, so I joined along. One of best decisions of my life.

Story themes, ambition, unresolved plotlines and mystery, lots of memorable character moments, arguing about powerscaling (LOL), and yeah the usual that almost everyone else says. The community is also dope.

I saw the 4kids dub growing up but didn't start reading till about 2006 or so.

I was looking for something new to read, and the premise of a boy made out of rubber going on adventures on the high seas was very endearing to me. It was just far more interesting than the other stuff we had at the time.

I enjoy reading it at this point for the world-building and the Strawhats(duh). I especially love how they're a family, and I love the dynamic between the crew members, especially Zoro and Sanji. Now, I'm reading to see each member achieve their dream.

Faction-wise, I think I vibe more with being a regular pirate since they're free to do what they want and don't answer to anyone. Like the pirates, my girlfriend and I enjoy going on adventures (road trips during the summer) with our Corgi.

Also, the One Piece community was way better back then. Far less toxicity than today's "Fans."

Around 2010 iirc. Always knew OP was around but I was a Naruto and Bleach fanboy (still am one at heart), and OP came along to that naturally.

Why is it still among your favourite mangas?
For one single reason, the fanbase. Knowing me if OP had a weaker Fandom let's say similar to Kingdom I'd been out permanently since the second half of WCI. I don't feel like I'll have to carry on till the end only because I invested much time into it.

I still enjoyed OP for the most part but I was never disinterested in OP too such a degree.

Since when did you start OP?
Sometime in early 2018, the first chapter I read weekly was 903.

Why did you decide to watch/read it?
Enjoyed the character designs, and wanted to get into OP.

Why is it still among your favourite mangas?
I enjoy everything about Pre Time Skip OP, the story, the locations, the fights, the characters. Post Time Skip isn't in my favorite manga list.

Which faction (Revo/Navy/CP/Supernovas/Yonko/Warlords..) do you think suits you the most if you were in One Piece world ?
I'd be one of the scrubs who's island gets slaughtered by Bobbins probably.

Edit: The community is a major reason why I still read it.

Since when did you start OP?
Since Arlong Park arc aired on Sunday morning TV.

Why did you decide to watch/read it?
Because I thought Luffy vs Arlong was cool and better than other Sunday morning cartoon's fights, with tables flying from the building.
Though I misinterpreted the scene of tables flying as side effect of the big, WWE style brawl, while actually Luffy just wanted to throw them because of Nami's past.

Why is it still among your favourite mangas?
Because I am wearing nostalgia glass.

Freshman year of highschool. There was an import game site, EX, that covered the GameCube game as Jump was on its way to the US, so I made sure to follow the series and really became a fan with the American Jump running the Orange Town arc. About that time, I'd pieced together enough of the Japanese story to jump on raws around 279~281 and caught up on buying the Japanese volumes at 32.

It's still essentially my favorite manga since it's ongoing and I like the current stories about as much as the old ones. All the other manga I like are older than OP, I'm not into stuff that came out after I graduated highschool.

If I were in OP, I'd be a male affiliate of the Kuja tribe.
