I think the BM pirates told Sanji that they would send assassins to kill Zeff and all the Baratie folks if he refuses to cooperate, Sanji obviously didn't get married and fought against the BM pirates, so what's stopping them from killing Zeff right now? As far as we know Zeff might be dead already :memehm:

Plot.

Theres also the dumb plot of the soldier conviniently sleeping in Sanji's bed. I still have no idea what Oda meant by that. And it was never answered.

As it stands right now Big Mom is in full pursuit of the Straw Hat Pirates. There is no need to send assassins after Zeff at this current moment, as it would take weeks to reach East Blue. The easiest course of action is to go after the Straw Hats directly. Not to mention her Country is in shambles, and her forces on divided. She needs all the manpower she has to stay back and rebuild and protect Tottoland in her absence.

And even further more, Zeff ain't no scrub. If she sends a bunch of fodders after him, he can handle his own.

That soldier sleeping in Sanji's bed was so awful.
I get that it was supposed to be a funny gag (and it was funny), but when something like that is the only thing that makes a much bigger plot development even possible, it's just not good writing.

This was the #1 reason I said Big Mom would be defeated in WCI through a combination of Luffy, Capone, Judge/Germa nukes. And Oda was like...yeah...whatever.

I think Reiju mentioned something like "Big Mom won't pursue Zeff. It was Judge that was threatening him." which makes no sense but w/e.

Well WCI was suppose to mimic alot of classic fairy tales, so the whole Goldy Locks thing he had going on with that was pretty funny. You gotta figure all these Guards in Tottoland were so content with there never being issues on the Island because it belongs to Big Mom, that they probably took naps all the time.

he point wasnt killing Jeff or Baratie it was just germa 66 object to make Sanji submit

The point was to acquire the CLONE SYSTEM of germa which they prob accomplished
While Fishman could escape underwater Germa prob couldnt and was caught they have nothing to do with Jeff if they want they can attack Garp or Dragon if they have the balls to do it

It's a gag manga where one of the major recurring themes is a miracle by the stroke of dumb luck. Almost everything in the series is the result of an unknowable, one in a million shot. And I mean, it's not like Oda had to include the bit about whether Sanji was in his room or not. If it bothers you, you can literally pretend it never happened (hardly anyone remembered) and it affects virtually nothing.

As far as Zeff goes, we know Germa had a hand in the blackmail. Either it was all affected by their change of plans, or Germa could have taken care of the BMP pirates affiliated with it. If such things kept me up I feel like I wouldn't be reading a manga where the most badass character has his sword moves based on noodle puns.
