Tbf, that’s because Kaido was hiding away in Wano and didn’t bother to go seek those that could.
He was freaking out when Big Mom finally came to his doorstep. The one time he went out to try it, he got sent back by Shanks & his boys.

Its not about them going down, its about the manner of disrespect they received. Kizaru was never disrespected to the extend that high and even MID TIER characters were all over him making him cough blood or scream in pain.
But if all out Gear 5 Luffy whom Oda literally worships and who defeated Kaido in like minutes, grabs an off guard Kizaru, squashes him and makes him cough blood y'all jump on it as if it served your Yonkotard agenda. It literally didnt. It just proves how desperate you are for jumping on something so small and irrelevant like this.
Luffy went head to head in his strongest form with a nerfed holding back Kizaru - he was 1) emotionally conflicted and thus holding back, and 2) Oda amde sure to nerf him on top with him not being allowed to cause collateral damage, basically holding back his powers to a great extend.

Thats what you wish how it should be. But it wasnt, Oda made sure to make Kizaru hold back a lot and yet him and a full power Luffy were fighting equally.
I am too, and be sure that Kizaru will humble Luffy if he goes all out. Imagine him going berserk in his awakened form - there is no way Luffy could cope.

Do you have anything against Kaido?
First, I don't read One Piece with an agenda. I read One Piece because I actually enjoy it. I don't feel Kaido was disrespected because the scabbards brought their all to try to defeat him for what Kaido had done to their leader, their people, their home, and them. I would have been highly disappointed if the scabbards didn't get a few licks on Kaido's ass. Kaido deserved those screams, pain, and blood loss. However, with all Scabbards did, it was not enough. So, I didn't see that fight as disrespectful. Then you have Yonko's vs WG, and it took a lot to bring Big Mom and Kaido down. Gear 5 Luffy did not have an easy time with Kaido. It still took a lot to bring Kaido down, even with Gear 5. Kaido was a monster, a straight-up brawler, but it was his time to fall.
Kizaru did have some emotional conflict, but that did not stop him from doing his job, which was to try to kill VP, Bonney, and Kuma. Therefore, he was not nerfed. Kizaru stayed the course of trying to kill VP, Bonney, and Kuma, and going by the latest chapter, it seems he has succeeded in killing VP. He was not nerfed.

That is your cope talking. Instead of giving Luffy credit for being stronger than he was when Kizaru last met him, you are saying that the only reason Luffy is able to keep up with Kizaru is because Kizaru is nerfed. That is coping. I could say that Oda is nerfing Luffy because Luffy has not fought with the same intensity or used his Gear 5 as he did in Wano. And if Luffy was fighting with the same intensity as he did with Kaido, then Kizaru would have been finished a long time ago. Cope? Wishful thinking? All of the above? None of the above?
Instead, I am saying Kizaru is facing off with a stronger Luffy.
Oda has already had Kizaru being humbled. Oda made sure that every time Luffy hit Kizaru, Kizaru acted like a concussed patient, either holding his head or not being able to move. Now, Oda, has Luffy squeezing Kizaru so tight he is coughing up blood. Some admiral fans don't like the fact that straw hats have grown in power and are not easily dispatched as they were previously by Kizaru. Because this fight is not a cakewalk for Kizaru, then Kizaru must be nerfed. Kizaru is not nerfed, Luffy is just stronger than he used to be.
How this fight will end, I don't know. However, I am looking forward to seeing it.
Oh, and the off-guard stuff. You can say Kizaru sneak attacked Sanji to kill old man VP and some people feel like he did sneak attack Sanji. I am of the mindset that this is a battle and every battle combatant should be aware and ready for any opponent to attack them. There are 4 combatants on the battlefield, and they all know they are on the same battlefield squaring off. So none of this off-guard bullshit for any of them. Kizaru knew Luffy was there, he should responded faster. Same with Sanji.
