Hello everyone,

Just a brief post today. After reading the spoilers, I came to the conclusion that the Government’s decision to assassinate Vegapunk was actually a wise one from their perspective. I had initially called this decision stupid a few weeks ago but now that we know much more about Vegapunk’s personality and motives, making the decision to assassinate him was the right call.

Look at what Vegapunk has given the Government:
-The Seraphim, who will grow into the most powerful beings in the history of the sea and unflinchingly and unquestioningly follow orders given to them by the Government to a much greater extent than the Admirals and the Warlords do/did
-The other Pacifista units which are relevant combat threats to pirates of every level
-Various other pieces of knowledge on things like Devil Fruits and lineage factor

Given the reveal that Vegapunk was researching the Void Century and is the only man alive who can pull the Seraphim away from the Government, killing him is definitely the correct call from their perspective as letting him live and potentially become an enemy or aid existing enemies would be a catastrophic mistake. Having Vegapunk survive this arc and wind up as a Government enemy will surely be one of the most important factors in the ultimate fall of the WG at EOS.

You talk like it was something well planned or something when in the reality is very simple. Vegapunk betrayed them he has to be killed.

He is treating Vegapunk no different them other pirates. Maybe they are treating him like Warlord or Yonko since how many effort they put on killing him.

Spot on.

If WG were a joke like a certain Magma Fuel, the VPs would just be thrown to a book as a collection or to a prison to train and become stronger. Thankfully the WG is nothing like such embarassments. :pepehawk:

killing vegapunk is ok bc they still got york but egghead is valuable with advanced technology and research.
destroying it will be great a loss 🤷🏻‍♀️

i mean they could utilize the technology themselves to make them more powerful instead of the world:zosleepy:
it is not like they are not the most powerful already, it is like giving someone with a ww2 weapon a modern assault rifle in a pre technology world, there won't be any difference

I think it is the exact opposite

York is not only playing vegapunk, she's also playing the govt also it seems like. It is implied in a prior chapter that Vegapunk never intended on betraying the govt, but was only researching for knowledge/curiosity.

None of the other Vegapunks knew of where the CP agents were imprisoned, or even that they were imprisoned to begin with. But York knew, and imprisoned Vegapunk in the same place. What's the implication?
York imprisoned all the CP agents sent to Egghead, making it seem like vegapunk turned against govt.

She is playing the govt into taking out her competition (i.e other Vegapunks), and trying to scam her way into a Tenryubito. All because she wants to be a Tenryubito, but that ain't gonna happen anyway, she retarded or what? But that's another topic lol
