Questions & Mysteries G5 works better in the anime

This is not specifically at you, style, but I find it funny how many people that claim to love how goofy G5 is and strawmanned the critics by stating that the critics just wanted an edgy form are the same people that are extremely hyped with Nika having red, glowing eyes and a malicious grin.
Who ever says they like how fucking goofy luffy acts im serious moments is either blind or fucking lying to himself...

I agree with you
Personally I always thought that normal G5 is trash.
doing something original doesn’t necessarily equate to do something great. G5 is that case.
I am all for edgy and cool forms and modes as long as they are sober. For example I like a lot Sanji’s transformation which consists only in switching his eyebrow. But it’s really cool damn.
In the same way I loved Ultra Instinct Sign…no fancy marks around the body, no tattoo no piercing. Just a little change in the hairstyle and you have a serious and cool form

It’s pretty funny
They don’t even get the point

G5 being bad is abt how goofy it is and how it changes the tone of the fight into a clown fest

Saying edgy stuff is ass is like calling g2 trash
u don’t need to hate on pre timeskip just cause u want to suck oda’s dick

Funny enough I see luffy wankers focus more on that grinny evil eyes “ edgy “ gear 5 than something like the kiss my ass scene this episode

Yeah, I kind of agree. Gear 5 is just allowed a bit more room to "breathe" in the anime.

Oda's trying so hard to pack so much into every page and every panel, that it can sometimes feel a little claustrophobic.

But, the anime is basically trying to extend things out as much as possible, so that they don't catch up too fast. It allows them to really flesh out some of the scenes, sometimes.

I do worry that sometimes Oda just uses the manga as storyboards for the anime. I feel like he's trying to wrap this up as fast as he can sometimes, that he doesn't always take the time to let some scenes have the impact they should.

It sucks in the anime: random lights, lightning and colours everywhere, random landscape breaking into a million pieces all around Luffy, random movements of the camera that'd make it difficult to follow the fight even if the characters were standing still.
