Versus Battle Gaimou vs Man'U 1v1

It's very rare for an existing general that is not a part of the main cast to suddenly receive an actual stat increase in strength (they usually tend to gain leadership and intelligence increases according to guidebooks). Man'U's feat where he overwhelmed Moubu in strength (and knock Moubu off of his horse) is arguably a feat significantly better than Gaimou's clash with Shin whose proficiency with the glaive was in the newbie stages though.
I don’t think Gaimou will be stronger than Ouki at all
I don’t see also why Gaimou would be stronger later compared to now.
‘Obviously Gaimou didn’t show everything he was calapble of against Shin. But he won’t become stronger till his final fight.

Gai Mou had 14 years of rust to work out, and all of his actions during the Choyou Campaign amounted to him having fun while the plot hinted at his more serious side and connection to legends Shin holds in esteem, whose weight he matches.
Gai Mou will likely be the strongest foe Shin will defeat in combat, not named Hou Ken.

Moubu on the other hand is almost confirmed to get weaker when...well we all know what happens. So the battle vs Man'U will probably be Moubu’s first major Chu duel in which he has to overcome his issues and get his willpower back.
Yeah i agree. Current Man U and Earl Shi and Sento Un have some strength from their emptiness
BUT knowing the topic of the show it will always be a weaker strength than the weight of someone who is fighting for someone or something
And we know that Man U was overcoming a changement during the fight with Moubu. Man U was challenged. Even Juukuo the strategist said that Man U was changing.

And I think during the second fight or later down the story Man U transition will be complete and he will have his fire back and fight for something. Hence becoming stronger.
