Garling’s hair looks like a moon. Lunarian has the word “lunar” in it, they’re people from the moon.

Lunarian powers are profoundly busted. Imo more so than the average mythical zoan. It just makes no sense for Oda to not explore these powers with a top tier and instead reserve them for King and the Seraphim.

I think it fits Garling. Apart from the moon hair, the lunarians were the old gods of mariejois. Also they have a history of being right hand men. King was Kaido’s right hand and from the looks of the Harley, Joyboy had a Lunarian on his side as well(probably his rhm).

Garling will be Imu’s equivalent to those right hand men. A man with the power of both the old gods and the new.

One last thing. When Gatling uses his powers, his hair+ beard will turn white, just like the moon. It fits too much!

He's already in his 60s or 70s. Oda will not give a new fruit to a guy that's old as fuck unless it's a DF that makes him become young again (like the Vampire fruit). That's like believing that Garp, Ray, Gaban..etc might get a fruit too which 100% not happening.

Although I've got to say that I'm indeed curious to see if Oda turns other Races from One Piece into Devil Fruits.

Actually, I like the idea, but it is unlikely to happen because King has shown everything a Lunarian can do, and Oda will unlikely do all those things again on a character that is likely to get a big combat focus.
Garling is more likely to have a DF in his sword and you could technically have a Lunarian DF in the sword as well but that kinda is missing the point of those godlike powers. Hopefully you are right tho.

We haven’t seen his powers yet. He’s only murdered civilians in the flashback and even still, there’s a chance he got his DF in god valley itself.

In any case, the CDs are all very DF reliant. The gorosei especially are all mythical zoan users. No reason to think Garling won’t have a DF.

In this case, Garling would be different since his career is far from over(at least in theory), since the Gorosei are expected to live for centuries, and it would ruin the groups theme if he doesn't have a transformation.
