Blackbeard plan will always be better than he originally think. Hero title is a huge thing. As we know captain is 1 star, then commodore as 2 star, rear admiral 3 star, vice admiral 4 star and admiral 5 star. Koby has the same worth as admiral. That is new hero koby. But we are talking here about old legendary hero garp. His

worth of being hero title is beyond anything. Garp being a captured and turn into bargaining chips for Blackbeard is huge thing. It will
legitimatize Blackbeard as pirate king that rule over pirate kingdom of hachinosu. The one that captured the hero of the world. Just like

sengoku telling the truth of ace being Roger son. Blackbeard will announce to public that garp hero title is a fraud and explain everything that happened in god valley.(pudding power to read garp memory). Koby escape and he join the alliance with Luffy to save garp. This is new marineford and god valley incident. We will see Luffy will pull up with koby. Strawhat-sword alliance against Blackbeard.

Might thoughts exactly. He wants to be King and was willing to use the new hero of the Marines as a bargaining chip.

Well now the actual Hero of the Marines is here. Would make for a better hostage. Plus it might actual push Dragon into making a move

Revolutionary army will make a move. Blackbeard pirate and revolutionary has a beef that started by Burgess and sabo. To then revolution homebase to get destroyed. We still has to resolve bb and revolutionary sub plot As sabo also inherited ace wills and dragon connected to his father.

This part of the story is more interesting then the Egghead Island stuff. Plus they name dropped Cross Guild, so they might get involved as well

so annihilating him harder then some random island or egghead. An the WG was technically working with Kaido, so it’s possible. Garp would just be icing on the cake, civilian and navy personnel would be putting pressure on the WG to respond. While that secret VP pressure, be put on them directly.​

I think at some point, Teach has to get a W enough to put him back in the game. Capturing Garp and defeating Law will be good points in his favor, and can establish even more tension between him and Luffy. This would be the 2nd time Teach hurt Luffy's family, after Ace.
