For Black Flash, Gege wanted it to be exponentiate the power output instead of multiply it because he thought that would be cooler. So instead of Black Flash multiplying the power output by 2.5, it raises the power output to the power of 2.5. The problem with this is that as the CE user gets stronger, the extra boost in power provided by Black Flash increases exponentially. So a weak CE user gains only a modest boost from Black Flash, but a strong CE user gains a huge boost.
For an example of why this is problematic, let’s say that Gojo and Sukuna have a CE value of 1,000,000. If one of them struck the other with an attack that had only 1% of their CE (so 10,000), even that relatively weak attack would be enough to delete the other one from existence because 10,000^2.5 is 10,000,000,000, which is 10,000 times greater than their total amount of CE.
So basically, the problem here is that if any special grade was to use a black flash, they should realistically be deleting anyone they hit, even other special grades or even Gojo and Sukuna. Heck, even mere Grade 1’s should probably be destroying beings much stronger than them if they manage to land a black flash. Yuji should have been vaporized when Mahito hit him with a Black Flash
