Spoiler General One Punch Man Spoilers

The tragic Shonen-ization of opm manga is now complete.

Another great webcomic arc trashed beyond repair.

There's no subtly left. It's clear that One and Murata don't respect their own audience anymore and is dumbing down the manga completely, avoiding any complex plotlines or character moments.

Opm is now just a generic hype and aura manga, with good art and ever escalating crazy feats.

Sad.

Member when it made fun of shonen tropes? It became the very thing it swore to mock

Tbh even i doesn't even know what is the current plot anymore since Murata always does his Revision

Every series that involve fight scenes and power levels eventually turns into shonen, and by the time the series reaches its hundred-somethingth chapter, TikTok fanatics will have taken chunks of whatever soul it had left to make shorts for views

It is the fate of all manga is mainstream

IMO, Murata should change his process, because currently it's not working.
He should do a chapter, set it aside, start working on the next, then go back to the revisions of the previous one, if he believes it needs revisions, otherwise he should publish it. Having revisions follow an already published chapter is counterproductive. Take longer hiatuses and sort the fine details out before releasing the shit to the public.

@moreha9685 Murata should just start with that Saitama vs. God arc, where readers will eventually read that one single chapter where the mother of all shonen feats from Saitama happens at the end.

Oh, and the ending to the series should go out with such a bang that even the Dragon Ball Super stans will be jealous.

The way this redrawn version is going, I don't think OPM will ever end. It'll get dragged out and out and out, getting blander with each release.

The anime killed most of the OPM hype, and Murata's manga is killing the rest.

This story still has the potential for "breaking the internet" again, especially with the God arc, but my hopes for a proper effort from Murata are low.
