"Woke", if you are speaking about people like me, are not asking for "diversity". We want the end of domination systems. Liberals want diversity because liberals think problems in societies are individual one that can be fixed with simple representations.
WE, as in "we materialist leftist", believe that systems of domination (capitalism, patriarchy, ableism, colonialism, racism etc.) are the reasons behind the problems of the world. We want those system gone.

The US has become a fascist country, in fact even France and Britain are becoming fascist countries as well.
Fascism is not an on/off button you push to make Hitler pop up. It's a series of politics that creates the oppression, the domination, and the exploitation of marginalized people on top of creating a system in which democracy is put in danger in many aspect.
Third thing:
The current US system wants trans to cease to exist. This is something that we can observes through the anti-trans policies, the anti-trans rethorics and this anti-trans actions. Both for children and for adults.
This is something that we can observe for the moment in the US and in the UK.
