What you are saying is baseless, it comes from rightist/centrists rethoric of "both the extrem are wrong" when in the reality, one extrem aims at stopping the other from hurting the oppressed.
As long as you won't be able to distinguish the ethical differences in both rethoric, a big problem will remain.

Just because they have good intentions or goals doesn't mean the way they go about those intentions or goals is good. Imagine someone said they would like to get rid of homelessness in their city and decided to just kill all homeless people. Technically that's getting rid of the problem but it's doing so with an incredibly psychopathic and ultimately detrimental method.

I made a mistake in my last post. I meant you CAN'T attack homeless people and stay a leftist. Just like you can't want right for all while attacking homeless. Aiming people under oppression is the opposite to leftists principles. Now, leftists can become authoritarian, but as soon as they do, they lose their leftist essence and shift toward the right. Leftism is the simple position of ethic aligned with science.

It means that there is a side that is aligned with ethic, progress and science and a side that is going against all of that and progress on inhumanities and domination. While there are "bad leftists", leftism is the ETHICAL side.
