I mean, pretty much everyone in the country knew it was probably politically motivated. She was a uniquely high-value low-risk victim, a 78-year old lady who lived alone and had her address publicly available - heck, her home was shown in television five days before she was murdered.
When the police came out and said there was no suspicion of it being political, it was clear that wasn't going to last. The police were so desperate to let us all know it was a white person (they never do this for other ethnicities in this country, btw) and then released their suspect. New candidate is a white guy who drove 270 miles south for 4 hours, bludgeoned her to death and then drove home. He probably did it, I suspect.
Thing I can't understand are the hard-leftists who have literally celebrated her death. It's like a repeat of Charlie Kirk, in a sense. Difference is, this was not a grown man who would be unironically martyred for his death. This was a vulnerable 78 year-old. Imagine your grandmother, or mother, or any other vulnerable woman you care about being bludgeoned to death with no remorse for mere opinions. She must have been so frightened. I feel sick.
Ultimately, this was probably conducted by a left-wing extremist and the police are unwilling to give us details to prevent the public going through his social media before they can scrub it like they did Axel Rudicabana (the Southport Killer).
We've seen this pattern before, they'll probably call him a disenfranchised far-right activist in a day or two if the pattern holds, only for it to slowly come out over the course of a year after public opinion has been formed that it was the opposite.
Regardless, rest in peace, Ann. This really shouldn't have happened.
