For the record, that's in USD, not CAD.

I'm living in a mostly rural community in a 2-bedroom house which costs only about what, $950 a month CAD? That's only about $720 USD monthly. The building itself is a bit outdated but it's got a working bathroom, bedroom, and everything else in there.

The video was shot in front of a courthouse where a black teenager was lynched in 1927. Also Disney had a shot of the same courthouse while shooting the Hannah Montana Movie and there was no uproar.

I haven’t listened to the song, but I think it is ironic that is doing so well after it was pulled from the airwaves.
