It's hilarious to see historians, mostly americans, take two different political movements and merge them together like they are the same thing.
Fascism and Nazism were two different things, and using a one fits all word to describe them is ridicolous.
Fascism was a social movement that used the anger of the veterans (which was semi-legitimate) to do a coup-d'etat and take the government and create a social dictatorship to illogically re-kindle the roman flame of 2000 years before. Nowhere in italian fascism there is a mention of superior race, and it also lasted 20 years were it descended from a dictatorship to a tiranny (very quickly) into a political subjection. In italy, countless people lost their jobs and had to emigrate or were exiledduring those 20 years just to oppose fascism. Search Matteotti to see the moment it became very bad.
Trump is nowhere a Fascist because there is no mention of socialism in his policy.
Nazism was born from similar reason, but embodied completely different ideals like "the superiority of the race", was ELECTED from the general population and became quickly a dictatorship. But it was completely different.
