I wasn’t accusing you of that, I said that any journalistic slant - which exists regardless of where you fall on the political spectrum - doesn’t matter when we’re talking about known child molesters. Also, I get why it happens in those communities…the tribe always protects its own whether or not it’s morally defensible, but I would find it equally repulsive if a rabbi was touching kids in the pants.

Why isn't the media talking about pedophilia in orphanages?Pedophilia by people that adopt kids?Pedophilia about other more exotical and less know groups?Because they have no political gain from it. Media likes to demoralize Christians. The problem with the Catholic Church itself is how they are dealing with this problem.Instead of punishing these fuckers,they try to cover things up.I think they should do the opposite:make things as public as possible,kick the pedos out and cooperate with authorities.

They SHOULD be reporting on it!! Christians don’t need any help making themselves look like hypocritical oppressors, centuries of forced conversion in European and African countries do that job just fine…I have no qualms with exposing predators in ANY community, but we can’t deny that the political/religious factor makes a story more immediately concerning because these are popular institutions abusing their powers along with their members, it merits attention no matter what. Orphanages and shit like that should be subject to the same amount of scrutiny, but rooting out pedophiles at the highest levels is the first step towards removing all protections for those in less powerful positions.

I agree,but you misunderstood one thing: Conversions are part of the Christian faith,but forced ones are prohibited. Don't mistake Catholics with Protestants.
