That's one thing I'm feeling completely powerless about being a leftist in our day and age: I'm simply unable to give those rightist guys and especially far rightist like him.. a glimps of a leftist vision of the world.
I tried everything over the decade, being kind, being pedagoge, trying to be trolly, trying to be mean, trying to use complete scientific rethoric, trying to use sckeptical reasonning, trying to to be empathic, trying to use their tactics, trying to use their reasonning, trying to be patient, trying to be sarcastic, trying to picture how things would look like in the future, trying to trigger the scare of fascism, trying to be understanding, trying to hold on the small wins, trying to explain my own journey....
..But never... have I or any else be able to really deradicalize a far rightist and make them see the world in the eyes of a leftist.
For some reason, its extremelly easy to transform someone into a far rightist or a complotist or a confusionnist, or for a leftist to understand how a far rightist see the world.. but it seems impossible to do the same in reverse manually. And still, I'm SURE that there is a way to do that, because if that wasn't the case, I would have never deradicalized myself and I know for a fact that I've never felt so in touch with reality before that..
So there must be something, something SPECIAL that noone understands, that must be able to trigger the curiosity of any rightist in existence to seek more knowledge and can make them able to see the illusions that they are living with for what they are.
I believe that we will find a way to prevent rightist radicalization in the future (or we will never be able to really progress) but we need it now. People are dying, starving and suffering because some are living under the spells of their own illusions.. We need those people to wake up. We need that future now. Here and everywhere in the world.
This type of meltdown is a type of suffering that I completely know and understand. Its the testimony of the fact that those people are dealing with their own paradoxes.. But despite what I say, there is always that shield of pride and illusion that appear in front of them.
So.. obviously, nothing is working right now and I can't help them.... which means that the left needs to find a new tactic to help those people understand, conflict can't be the only solution... Or maybe we are looking at the problem the wrong way... ??
