I'm not making that shit up. Natives have a special legislation protecting them. They practice Cannibalism, Eugeny (kill off babies with deformities) and they attack intruders with bow and arrows. They can't go to jail either. As for the gangs, they are groups derived from the communist guerilas from the 60s. They have a doctrine of taking territory from the state. This mostly happens in Rio de Janeiro and Bahia, where Comando Vermelho is more active. Watch the documentary. Pretty legit stuff.
