People die in car accidents regularly, I don't think people need to die to justify cars being used in society.

They don’t. You don’t live in the U.S. so clearly you don’t understand how this works. Plenty of minorities say it, sometimes even around their black friends. People don’t care because it isn’t being used in a negative context. If someone is bothered by a non black person saying it, usually an effort is made to explain why it’s offensive and why they probably shouldn’t say it at all. Most of the time when people catch heat for saying the word it’s because they’re using it as a slur towards someone.
