Ssj4 was one of the like 3 things good about gt.
It was obvious for vegeta. That's the reason whis agreed to train him in the first place cause he agreed to become GOD.
Speaking of whis and beerus were fucking great additions when rebooting this series.
They should make cooler canon next cause freiza in the broly film was already complaining about there being 2 v 1. Plus cooler is great.

SSJ4 and the Evil Dragons was it for me, Baby was cool but he stayed too long. But the evil Shenron Dragons was a great way to make abusing the Dragon Balls have a consequence.
They literally opened up Dragon Ball to a whole new world. Credits to them.
How would you make Cooler canon? Cause it would be hard to justify him being Frieza's level.

The only way i see Frieza and Cooler even having a sliver of a chance of taking this would be "Very, Very Extreme Diff" with Cooler dying in the process. Gil who despite how cocky he is also very arrogant and if he plays to Frieza's tune who can be manipulative then i see Gil losing, though Frieza like to lose a limb or a portion of his body. Otherwise Gil takes this with Enuma Elish and Full Power.

The same frieza trained once in his life for a few months ? And reached a level just behind blue
Then died again yet once he came back showed out in the TOP
(On a side note I love all the development freiza has had since he trained and fought in top where in the broly film he was almost saiyin like in his thrill for the fight.)
Do the same with cooler. Have them train together if needs be.

Frieza saying immortality takes the fun out of it was the best part of the movie for me. I was hoping Broly would end up staying his henchman, since Frieza needs a good ally these days.
Demon Janemba should come back. He was legit. Introduce him as a GoD from one of the destroyed Universes or some shit.

Mui goku stomped jiren before he ran out. And jiren was the strongest in other universes.
Angels ? Xeno ? What. Eventually probably that way but for now I want them go elsewhere. Switch it up like they did with moro and his magic let's see different challenges.

I don't know if you ever played the xenoverse games but the premise of super dragonball hero's is that they go through the dragon ball timelines amongst other shit to fix stuff that's been changed loads of time travel demons and shit. Goku blue fought ssj4 goku in it iirc. Fan favourite bardock is in it as well. There's no coherent plot or even story in it it's just pure hype that jumps from place to place. They even had golden cooler in it lol.
