i already mention garp is luffy grandpa in the first top post.
garp has shown to have monster strength compared to normal human, so quarter of the giant blood. imo
i think luffy has some of there blood to. since it hinted from clapp, some of his family members don't grow bigger. where some do.

This flashback was meant to show Dragon's connection to Luffy as a father since he was looking at the direction where Luffy was born and living before.

meanwhile kuma revealed to look like luffy, both go out there way to save people, prob influence buccaneer bloodline of being good.

I do not know what happen in god vally, but someone had to defend kuma and ginny. and my guess is garp, who protected them when he found ginny alive, along with kuma who he prob adopted into his family.

it was kuma who oda focused and showed us, how kuma went out of his way for luffy and told luffy good bye before his mind got wiped. that a message from a father.

Maybe Oda had used similar facial expressions for Luffy and Kuma because Kuma wanted to be like Nika. But Luffy does not share the physical build of Buccaneers. Kuma is nearly 23 feet tall, while Luffy is 5'9. Clapp was big too. He dwarfed the humans who sat next to him.
There are instances of Bonney using Distorted Future that show the Buccaneer build, i.e., if she was Kuma's biological daughter.

its been stated by multiple characters that luffy is dragons son, why would dragon even pretend that luffy is his son when that information alone would put luffy in the scope of the WG?
