I'm certain Oda named those three to preserve the other's identities for later, but I've reconsidered my position on Yasopp being the weakest. Usopp's the weakest because he's a gadget fighter, but in Chapter 1, we see Yasopp with a sword. Unless there's a retcon, Yasopp clearly engages in direct combat. Then there's his animus with Jozu. For me, Yasopp's either YC or veteran level.
Usopp "used" the Sogeking persona in Thriller Bark as well.
Does Sugar erase that?

Let's try to analyze Sugar's dumb and retarded ability.
Does erasing the memories about Robin also erases the memories he has with others while in the presence of Robin?
Does erasing the memories of Robin also erases the memories he had to himself while Robin wasn't even there?

That ability description is too vague to even be considered.
Sogeking didn't exist because of Robin.
Sogeking existed because Usopp was too ashamed to show his face after the duel against luffy, so he hid himself, not only physically, but mentally through that Sogeking persona.
He may forgot he went to EL so save Robin, but doesn't mean he doesn't remember dueling Luffy because of the Merry situation, which had NOTHING to do with Robin.
Please. Never use Sugar and her stupid ability again. It's sad because 10-years old don't need more explanations to what is affected by her powers.
Pudding's ability to turn memories into "film" and then alter them makes much more sense than that stupid "woman-child" BS plot device.
On one side, I want Usopp to be a beast but on the other side, if Usopp just straight up beating strong opponents left and right, it would break power scaling but that's good for me.
He doesn't need to go "left and right beating strong opponents".
Just don't make his Pop Greens useless.
That's the problem with turning your story into some DBZ garbage and trying to push "normal" characters as relevant.
If Oda expects us to believe that a Ulti's headbutt doesn't simply turn Usopp's skull into dust with 1 blow, then he can create a good fight for Usopp.

Yes, erasing Nico Robin from his memories would erase all traces of Sogeking from his memory, even from Thriller Bark.
What was the whole point of him putting that mask on? To go and save Robin. Enies Lobby essentially never existed in the Straw Hats memories once Robin was turned into a toy.
Never putting on the Sogeking mask in Enies Lobby = never putting on the Sogeking mask on Thriller Bark, because the situation that was established that required him to put the mask on in the first place, now no longer exists.

The only realistic "buff" Usopp can get right now is if Oda gives him pop greens that he couldn't use when Nami or Tama were with him.
That was kind of explained when he used that new move on page one, but oda would have to have Usopp say he couldn't even use these when he was fighting alongside nami. Friendly fire and all that.
If the new attacks are that powerful & possibly cause him damage to him from the recoil then I'd be more likely to believe his victory.
