They probably each have a power revolving around their name, Saturn for example may be able to manipulate time or see the future as the god of time, and funnily enough he does talk about the future when Luffy first uses G5.

Sorry to be that guy, but Saturn's Greek counterpart Cronus is often confused with Chronos. Saturn/Cronus's domain is of the earth, as his symbol is a harvest sickle.
