Speculations Gorosei and God's Knights are not inheritably evil?

He is indeed a chill and nature loving "person", spend all day in flower room playing with butterfly, caring nothing on the outside world. Not sure what he is but surely has a vendetta against the humanity. That's all when he is alone. He is not stupid for sure and not barbaric in the sense of zero communication, however he will justify what is actually set in stone and cannot be argued with. He only acts agitated when it comes to the people.
Unlike the one in your pic who does it for the love of Game Most has a puropose with imu
Killing Cobra?Because he knows too much
Destrucion of the Island?Because it is nearby
Getting Rid of Saturn?Because he didnt obey

To be fair Teach is not a good person, like what he said in Marinefort "destroy and engulf the world", this could be due to harsh childhood that influence him. His crews are made up of criminals. Teach and Imu both can be more of less the same worse. We likely haven't seen everything from both of them yet.

They're both evil and stupid at the same time, typical corrupt royalty living their best life in luxury not giving a shit about civilians., making the world think some privileged fat fucks (the average celestial dragons) run the world when in reality they're just the public face of the WG.

I think there are a few good ones, but the rest are rotten and evil, like Garling and Sommers.

Of the Gorosei, Topman and Jupeter are good. Topman didn't want Lulusia destroyed, and Jupeter saved the CP0 agents and didn't eat them.

Shamrock showed empathy because of Shanks' injury. At first, I thought he'd be a mean brother like the Sanji brothers.
Shamrock must have warned Shanks about the deep sea mark.

Gunko will also be good.

I think Mars at least might be more than meets the eye. Remember Ohara?

You can see he clearly looks tormented at giving the order to attack.

Oda seemingly retcons this later with all his dialogue of insects and such. Interesting how he was also alone when the other Gorobros reappeared.
I know retcons generally are looked down upon, but I feel the Gorosei being simply stodgy old bureaucrats who feel they serve a greater good while surrounded by depraved monsters who torture and kill slaves for fun wasn't really feasible.

IMO they should've been "for the greater good" types. As in oversmart people who see serving Imu as a lesser evil to saving the world from the "threat" of Luffy and over the years have swollen in arrogance to view themselves as sacrificers or heroes of sorts.

I feel like that would be interesting since many moral crusaders I've seen are very arrogant, so having the Gorosei be similar in that sense would work imo.

Like they see themselves as visionaries who are worthy to lead the world but at the same time they are still capable of feeling sorrow at their own actions.

But they're overall evil due to their own arrogance, controlling nature and willingness to sacrifice others and inability to find better solutions. Just an idea from my end.

Even Imu doesn't seem ''inheritably evil'', I'm pretty sure he has ''reasons'' as to why he is doing all of this; doesn't excuse the genocides and enslavings but can explain it.
I even think Luffy is gonna help him in some way.
The theory that says he wants to ''get rid of death'' is very interesting.
