Right here, someone hijacks CP0’s signal and tells them to stay where they are.
Then we learn that the Gear 5 photo was taken by Guernica.
So who was it that was hijacking the CP0 signal? Was it the big mom pirates? Imo this makes no sense. Why on earth would the BMP intentionally target CP0? Especially when Big Mom is now presumed dead.
And the wording used “stay where you are, I’m on my way” doesn’t really sound like something a hostile enemy would say. Why would the BMP announce themselves if they were going to attack CP0?
This along with the fact that the G5 picture was taken by guernica leads me to believe that Guernica wasn’t killed by Kaido but rather was simply separated from Joseph before the two reunited at the end of the arc.
I think Guernica might have been chased by the BMP and subsequently engaged in battle with them after reuniting with Joseph.
Anyways I think Guernica and Joseph are very important in that they will replace Lucci and Kaku after Egghead. Lucci and Kaku have basically ran their course as villains. They were pre skip villains and now they’re back again in egghead. We just don’t need to see them job again in the final war.
However, CP0 is important in the final war as they will be antagonists for the revos to fight. Sure Sabo and Dragon will probably face more important opponents. But ivankov, Morley, and the others? Imo CP0 is the best they get.
This is where Guernica and Joseph will come in. Oda will buff them with DFs and make them final opponents for the revos.
Probably something like this:
- Ivankov vs Guernica
- Karasu vs Joseph
- Morley vs Jabra
- Etc.
