Chapter Discussion Guernica the first cipher phol to betray the gorosei???

in the recent sbs volum, Oda talks about the life of Kid’s and 3 of his crew it was said that all of them are from south blue and they kidd had a friend named veronica, this veronica died and his crew who used to control districts like gangs fought the one who killed veronica. After sometime they decided to become a pirate, this is how they named their ships veronica punk (makes me wonder too if like the spirit of the going merry lives in the sunny, what if veronica punk ship was also been protected by veronica spirit?) But the most interesting part is when Oda named the cipher phol agents during the onigashima arc,

and it was Maha, joseph, gismondan and the one who intertwred the fight of Kaido and Luffy, Oda named him Guernica.

There’s a chance that Kaido didnt actually killed him, because Oda stated that Guernica was the one who took the picture bounty of Luffy on his gear fifth.

when Guernica was fighting X drake, Guernica said that he envy X drake because of his freedom to choose his own justice. Since Cipher Phol doesnt have this choice so the possibly is that Guernica envy X drake because of this freedom to choose his own justice.

There’s a chance that he faked his death!

This make me think that it wasnt coincidence that Guernica didnt took Luffy’s picture bounty in gear fifth.. there’s a chance that he knew about Luffy’s df tales, in fact probably not only the roger pirates knew about the fight that that will happen 20 years after roger’s death, but even the cipher phols knew about this tales and maybe even more.

There’s a chance that Guernica has a plan to probably overthrow the gorosei, and the first part of his plan was to put Luffy’s gear fifth picture in the bounty and tell the tale that Luffy and the others defeated the 2 yonkou

what do you guys think is the next plan?

Given that he is named after a famous painting depicting a spanish revolution it is a plausible idea. After all if he survived, he did witness Luffy liberating the people of Wano from tirannycal ruler which the WG tried to keep in power only to maintain "the balance of Powers". Him saying that he is envious of Drake shows that he is not as brainwashed as other WG agents and is actually trying to form his own sense of justice.
You could be on to something here. I just hope it isn't something Oda abandons and never clarifies in the rush of ending the series in a certain time Frane.

I hope Oda has gone good stuff planned with Mr. Go post Wano, because his death was one of the best written parts of Onigashima, and keeping him alive with a fake-out death is bitter for me.

There are a lot of reasons to believe he and CP0 might be done with the WG's shit after this. Hard to defend the Gorosei after they fucked this situation up this badly. Why should CP0 take all the blame for this? Better for them to just go into hiding.

well his the one who took picture of 5th gear luffy, it means after getting a direct hit to Kaido he somehow survive and still had a time to take a picture and were talking about a CP-0 here which is probably 4x stronger than Kinemon who also survived from a direct hit to kaido

Hi, I'm spanish, the Guernica was painted by Pablo Picasso depicting the Nazi (as Franco's allies) bombarding the city with the same name, it was at the beginning of our civil war and it worked as a test for it's later well known Blitzkrieg, it has nothing to do with any kind of revolution

Sorry for a clumsy choice of words. I know what guernica is about, I just tired to simplify it to push an idea of the connection to the revolutionary army, for which Oda has many real life inspirations and certain parties that were involved in the civil war are probably among them.
Facist forces bombing a town in which the large majority of the victims were innocent civilians isn't unlike what the WG recently did at Lulusia Kingdom. And some parties that opposed Franco's regime called themselves revolutionaries.

If he's alive he might betray them. His reply to Drake's justice with "I envy you". He could have been ironic but I like to think he really meant that.
I forgot to mention the gorosei was trying to cover up what happen to onigashima, the defeat of kaido and bigmom, the gear fifth so yeah this probably what really triggered guernica because somehow he knew they will try cover this up
