Gunko is clearly getting redeemed.

If people wanted Loki as next nakama, he could be a red herring, and Gunko is the next nakama.

Her side clearly abandoned her.

And unlike Loki that is pirate king level, she can join without making Zoro and Sanji look like fodders in comparison.

what's this obsession with adding a crewmember every arc, Loki isn't joining either btw, only person we might get back is Vivi

We currently have 5 strawhats who would rather stand around and talk about a 70 year old story, and 1 more talking with an owl, rather than help save the kids, or destroy a magic circle, or even just flee before Imu shows up.
Only thing I would say is at least Gunko hasn't been portrayed as useless like they are, but if she joined that will likely change.
