There is no need of an argument. If Oda wants, he can prove Shanks isnt a swordsman the same way he did with King.

That said, why does it matter? If its about Mihawk, it doesnt change anything. Oda constantly compares them to the point he brought up Shanks even while revealing Mihawk's bounty. They will be more or less equal.
