Powers & Abilities Haki: A Bad Power System?

#25
Stronger Spiritual Pressure literally can negate others abilities. Remember when people on this site were going crazy over Haki being able to negate DF powers.
Cool. And its simple to follow. And its something only aizen did IIRC. Haki is not like that. It is wayy more mainstream in terms of combat. If you don't have the common sense to note that , I am not sure what to say.

The Top teir characters all can. But that's the same with One Piece, the average New World pirate isn't going to be able to negate Devil Fruits with their haki. Only the top their characters can. Same with the "Advanced" forms of Haki. Most Pirates aren't going to fully master haki or use it to the full extent.

I'd say that haki as a whole isn't as bad. Sure, it's not good neither but Oda fucking sucks at representing it and thus, he drags the "power system" called haki through the floor.

I always felt like Oda wrote himself in a corner with the Devil Fruits and Haki was something that he came pretty much in the spot to balance stuff out, adding more and more stuff to it so that relatively important characters without Devil Fruits don't get stomped on.
Sure, I might be wrong, Haki might be a concept that Oda had in mind from the beginning but his poor execution makes me think this way.

But then Kaido wouldn't be considered a ''top tier character'' since he didn t show any hint of negating anything ?

What are you talking about? The context of this thread is how haki sucks oda doesn't consistently draws adv coc usage show case or how there are so many levels of haki and sub types etc. Spiritual pressure is extremely simple. Its more like KI in that regard.

Basic haki is simple. It when you get to the higher tier characters that it becomes more complicated. And that's who we are seeing using it. As a power system it's the same as Spiritual Energy or Ki.

It's a mess right now
Should have kept it to their basic form
Coo: many time it's been shown that it doesn't work for some reason.
Coa: sometimes it's dark and some times you don't see it which already was confusing when people were using it and when they weren't and now it's advanced form can't be distinguished from Coc.
Coc: you already know.

Exactly, according to the logic you used, the only ones who can be considered ''top tier'' are Joyboy (maybe) and Shanks lol
Top tier in the World of One Piece. Elbaf is the strongest island in the One Piece World because of the giants. But we know that even though giants are as strong as 1000 regular people most of them are still weaker than the strawhats. Of all the Pirates in the New World the 1% of them that are the strongest should have the more powerful haki.

someone with invisible armament haki and nothing else can beat anybody, if they train it to be strong enough,
So what’s the difference between “invisible armament haki” and visible armament?

like outside of visuals… what’s the actual difference in execution? Or why does someone have one and not the other? Do they do anything differently?

What?

He probably meant that invisible armament haki would cause logias and other fruit users to drop their guard thinking they are fighting a normie until said normie lays a critical CoA blow on a soft spot, taking advantage of the element of surprise.
But beyond that first hit, nothing.
