Questions & Mysteries Has every Gorosei been a HK Supreme Commander?

#1
We saw that there is a promotion based on Imu's seal:

Shallow Sea -> Devoted Blade of God
Deep Sea -> Holy Knights
Abyss -> Gorosei (probably)

Since Garling got promoted from Supreme Commander to Gorosei, is this the path that Gorosei usually have to follow?

They're all Conqueror Haki users and seem too strong to just be a regular Holy Roppo.

We know from Gaban HKs don't usually have CoC. Only their leaders seem to.

It's plausible, but no, I feel all of the Gorosei became so at the same time. Because all seem equally offended Garling was now one of them.

That, and if one of them was like the first of them to be elevated, he would seem to have more seniority, and they seem all equal in that regard.

I have always thought they were, so yes.

Every Gorosei down the line had been a Supreme Commander in the right moment.

There may be some exception, but that's it. And none of them are 800 yo, Wano made it clear.

I thought the OG Gorosei were Imu‘s most devoted followers from the Void Century. And the Figarlands historically hold the Commander title.

The OG Gorosei flat out spoke of Nika as a legend. And they also spoke about the fact "the government" (not "us" or "I" and so on) tried for centuries to take the Gom Gom.

One can even use Jarul's title and proof, but Oda Is inconsistent so we can skip that.

How old they may be, the Figarlands seem to pass down the Commander title, so that point seems debunked.

Just becuase two Figarlad were commanders in this era doesn't prove at all they've always had been.

Not to mention we don't even know the supreme Commander - Commander thing.

Uh, it’s in the title? SC=the person who controls everything; Commander=multiple people who directly answer to the SC.

Doubt it.

I assume Saturn and Ju Peter came up that way, but I believe Mars is the last of the Twenty Monarchs beside Imu, spared when he seized the Empty Throne.

Imu can make anyone a Celestial Dragon by invitation, it's my assumption he extended such an invitation to Nusjuro centuries ago, perhaps when Ryuma still lived and breathed.

Warcury could've been inducted for similar reasons. Perhaps he was the head of state of a powerful empire that bent the knee to Imu early, giving him a base of power for the WG to conquer territory with in exchange for immortality/Celestial Dragon status. If he was the head of a powerful nation, I just easily see his allegiance being what that created the Marines.
