The seraphims are attacking cp0 which is why he asked luffy to lend a hand to basically carry them to safety cuz he cant fight as well as carry them at the same time.
Also you have to remember the SHs are supposed to be good guys, they can just be shown to bully these kids.

No need really. Till Kizaru and potentially Saturn show up, there's no threst that requires either Luffy or Zoro to bust out their best, haki-wise. Even fruit-wise, G5's not a necessity but it's important for exposition purposes and explaining awakening from Vega's understanding. This isn't a very haki-centric arc like Wano was. Best to wait for the next major arc for there to be consistent focus on haki.

It means Luffy and Zoro don't go around one-shotting all of their opponents and opponents aren't magically able to start tanking ACoC attacks. The power-scale can stay intact.

And it's not even unrealistic, in case you were thinking the plot doesn't make sense since Luffy/Zoro can end the arc at any time if they wanted to. Humans generally like playing with their food and using the minimum amount of strength possible to achieve a task because it makes it more of a challenge.

I even do it myself, if I'm out playing sports against people who are worse than me I'll go easy, or if I'm playing video games I'll handicap myself to make it harder. Then when a strong opponent comes along you go all-out.

lol when have the strawhats defeated kids ? U expect them to stomp some children???Zoros goal was protecting kaku and lucci and thats what he did now luffy is here to help

In fact only Nami pretend to be coc user, and that's from Jinbei. But I doubt that Nami have coc and I believe that Zoro have coc, but right now it wasn't confirmed.
