Theory Hibari will inherit Akainu’s fruit when he dies

#23
Hibari is a member of Sword and part of the “future of the marines”. She is also hinted to be Akainu’s daughter.

This puts her in a special class of princess characters, many who Oda gives special attention to. We see this with Yamato, Bonney, Pudding, Shirahoshi, and Vivi all having unique and important storylines.

Akainu is one of those villains who will likely need to die. He is a war criminal and is guilty of genocide(see: O’Hara).

When this inevitably happens, I think it would make a lot of sense for Hibari to get his powers. Why? Well apart from her being his daughter and a future leader of the marines, I believe that the Magu magu no mi will be very important in the epilogue of the series.

Assuming that the final war does ravage the world and the world gets flooded, I could see the magu magu no mi being a crucial DF in allowing humanity to reclaim the earth, with Hibari using it to pull sunken islands from the depths by manipulating the earth’s magma.

It would be a very strong contrast, with Akainu using the fruit for war crimes vs Hibari using it for peace.
A person's nature is clearly tied to the fruit they have. Hibari in no fucking was has a similar nature to Akainu or Magma symbolic

"If just one scholar snuck on to that ship, all of this would of been for nothing"

Is he evil? Or is he just extremely efficient?
He's an antivillain. Has good goals in theory but commits awful deeds and extremism to attain them. TV Tropes calls this type of character "Knights Templar" I believe. Post-Crisis Black Adam or Atrocitus from DC comics were similar characters IIRC.

He's what happens when good goes too far and reaches a stage where it is not too different from evil. Or at least he was until MF. Post TS Sakazuki seems more toned down.

Really great post however I think it's more so that he idolised the governement, picked the wrong organisation and prioritises its interests over what is good,

Thanks! Yeah I could see him and Kizaru being basically the Bertholdt and Reiner of OP, two dudes who thought they were doing good, picked the wrong team to side with and basically lost their way in the process.

Should be interesting to see if Egghead gives them a reality check.
