Everyone debate about OP sales, talk about how successful manga it was and even if the sales declined, it's still the highest sales manga ever made. But that's just the money by selling product, must taken into account the money Jump spend for it. Surely Oda isn't the only one responsible for its popular, many behind the curtain need to get their share of money too. And while the manga earn a lot, Jump and Oda can get a large potion too but when the sales declined too much %, it can cause serious problem even though it's still the highest sales because it's involved a lot of people. Even if Jump resolved all the contract and let OP sales, without its support, become as a normal shounen manga, it will be bad for their reputation because people will realize how bad they treated their iconic manga. So they decided to rush end the manga despite there are still so much plot point not yet resolve and how much their want those juicy milking (Don't even think Oda want to end it, we all know how much he love dragging it like rubber).
