Speculations Holy Knights can live forever, just like the Gorosei

In the past it has been speculated that the Gorosei and the HKs have different forms of immortality. After all, the Gorosei don’t age while the HKs do.

However when Imu gave Harald the depths covenant, it was stated to grant “immortality”, not simply regeneration. I don’t know why it would be called immortality if it didn’t actually make you immortal.

Which makes me think that all HKs can theoretically live forever just like the Gorosei. Why do the HKs age then?

What if the HKs all age to a certain point and then they just stop aging? That explains why the Gorosei are all old. That’s just the age at which immortals stop aging.

As for Gunko? That’s just Oda sexism. Look how he draws Shakky, who’s 64 years old. Gunko is probably physically the same age as Shakky.

Lastly, what about the abyssal covenant. What does that do then? I think the transformations used by the Gorosei and Shamrock could just be from the abyssal covenant.

Mythical zoans are supposed to be rarer than logias. However if the Gorosei and Shamrock are mythical zoans, there would be more mythical Zoans than logias.

I think by immortality Imu means he can't die by conventional means than not getting older. That being said you have gunko who doesn't age despite not being a gorosei.

Did Gunko actually not age?

assume I’m right and that all immortals stop aging at a certain point, couldn’t Gunko just have stopped aging in her 60s while looking youthful like Shakky?

I think all the gorosei were once holyknigjts.

They were not always there, ofc some of them are very old but types of shepherd looks comparatively younger than other gorosei (or he doesn't after the new color reveal)

The immortalities are different. Immortality for the HK mean their bodies heal from just about any damage whereas Gorosei don’t age. Gunko is similar. Remember she is older than Big Mom. Even aging gracefully, she wouldn’t look like this.
