General & Others Hopes for the remake

With the one piece remake announced by wit studio here are my hopes for it

1. That they adapt cover stories
One piece is the only manga as far as I am aware of that has canon cover stories
The old anime adapted cover stories initially but then rating fell hard so they decided to scrap that

I think the new anime could make the cover stories as canon Ovas realised alongside the show so it does not interfere with the pacing of the show

2. That the series would not have awfull pacing like the old anime did such as in Dreserosa

Accuracy to the source material. I would like to be able to use the anime to clarify moments in the manga.

Toei's habit of making straight fanfiction is NOT helpful in that regard.

Animation should be good but not overly ostentatious.

Pacing needs to be fixed.

Sound design needs to be different, not a fan of how repetitive it is currently.

Good animation and no fillers is all I would ask for. Also staying true to the manga in its full brutality (e.g. Akainu taking off part of WB's head in the manga vs. only taking off a part of his mustache in the anime, one of many examples). I liked the OG animation of One Piece, which over time slacked off, while nowadays One Piece with its flashy fights and weird animation is just too over the top.

But I'm afraid it's going to be just another shit show.
