It must be horrifying being someone that doesn’t know a thing about Luffy and the crew aside from what the news say. A teenager with a 30 million bounty from the weakest sea arrives in the Grand Line and (for whatever reason) his bounty goes up to 100 Million and a couple weeks/maybe a month has passed since. He vanishes for a bit then appears out of the blue to attack Enies Lobby and beat up over 1,000 marines before rescuing the “Demon Child”. His bounty has gone up to 300 million now and not too long after that, he’s punched a Celestial Dragon and caused a ruckus before vanishing.
Next they hear from him he’s released a TON of prisoners from Impel Down including 2 Warlords, a former Roger Pirate, a member of the Revolutionary, a guy made of knives and has taken this party to save the son of the Pirate King.
“Oh fuck he’s the son of Dragon? Double fuck, he’s working with Whitebeard too? What is this world coming to? What do you mean the navy lost him??”
Fast forward 2 years later, Luffy has turned Dressrosa upside down, attacked and embarrassed the Big Mom Pirates as well as the Beast Pirates and has a bounty of 3 BILLION. They’ll never know the truth behind the things he’s done, all they know is to fear the Lion faced ship sailing to their island.
