General & Others How did Luffy manage to end up at the same point as the Supernovas (Shabondy) when they set sail 2.4 years before him?

Yamato told Ace in chapter 999 that even before Luffy went to sea, Kid, Law, Bege Cavendish already made a name for themselves, yet Luffy went to sea afterwards and it was found in Shabondy and made the most noise. Do you have any explanations to enlighten me?

Why doesn’t shanks just go to raftel he has the right people to ask why doesn’t he go get the one piece?

Not everyone moves at the same pace. Luffys in a huge rush to become pirate king while the others aren’t and you have to include the fact the others could have ran into the navy way more then luffy did on his journey.

Ace mentioned Kidd in the South, Law in the North and Bege in the West.
Those seas are much more dangerous than East Blue, so it probably took more time to them.

when you say the Navy you speak of admirals for example because it seems to me that before Shabondy no supernovas including Luffy had crossed an admiral

Ah yes Aokiji for Luffy but it's a special case

Yeah, Luffy and the straw hats wasn’t just good, he got lucky time and time again.

He found Zoro right before his execution and Sanji was just chilling out on his ship he rolled the lottery and hit the jackpot with those two powerhouses right at the start.

The strawhats were in a rush, so to speak. They avoided most of the islands, only going to destinations of interest to them or moved by the plot. In addition, some others like the ones mentioned by others on this thread: East Blue being the easiest, the other supernova planned ahead, etc.

Always thinked that they skiped much of the Grand Line by going to Skypea, after the arc traveling by the White Sea and falling with the octopus.

Jaya seems to be in the early part of the GL while W7 seems very close to Marineford and the Red Line.
